Whole Masoor Soup
It is tasty, simple to make and rich in protein.
Ingredients:
whole black masoor 1/2 cup
capsicum finely chopped, french beans finely chopped, carrot-crated-1/2 cup
onion-finely chopped 2 tablespoon
tomato-finely chopped 2 tablespoon
salt as per taste
ginger and garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
green chilli 1 finely chopped
coriander, green onion chopped to garnish
red chilli flakes as spicy one likes
crushed black pepper as per taste
lemon juice of 1 lemon
sugar as per taste
vegetable stock 3 cups
Method:
Wash, rinse and soak whole black masoor for about 2 hours. Boil for 2-3 while in pressure cooker. Steam finely chopped vegetables.
Take a pan, add 1 spoon butter. Add ginger-garlic paste, finely chopped onion and sautee. Add tomato and sautee. Add salt to it. Now add finely chopped vegetables and add vegetable stock. Allow to boil. Add boiled masoor with its water. Add sugar, green chilli, red chilli flakes, black pepper as per taste. Add lemon juice after turning off the heat. Serve hot, garnish with finely chopped green onion, and coriander.
