rava no sheero(suji ka halwa)

Rava Sheera  Indian cusine dates back to nearly 5,000 years ago when various groups & cultures gave their cusine different flavours and fragrance. There are various regional cusine due to staple food availability, weather, culture and sutoms people beleived in it. Indian cusine is also influenced by religious traditions. Rava sheera is beleived to be a religious sweet dish for Satyanarayan katha. Ingredients: suji/rava 1 cup sugar 1 cup ghee 1/2 cup milk 3 cups almond, cashew, kismis for garnishing cardamom powder(optional)safron threads sos for color & fragrance Steps to make this yummy indian traditional dessert take a broad pan and melt ghee on low to medium flame. add rava and roast till it has a fragrance (light red in colour). Warm the milk and add to the pan. (Initially make sure to add milk slowly as it will bubble). cook on low flame till all milk is evaporated. Add safron threads in milk and add in the sheera. Sukhadi

 Sukhadi One of the favourite dishes of my daughter. the moment name sukhadi comes, i remeber my mummy' sukhadi served in a small caserole hot, yummy and fresh with a tempting fragrrance of ghee. It is a gujarati sweet dish. Mahudi-A jain temple is known for sukhadi as a prasad.It is very simple and easy to make with only 3 ingredeints. Ingredeints: wheat flour 2/3rd cup Jaggery 1/4 cup Ghee 1/3 cup Steps: Turn on the gas, take a pan and add ghee. Allow it to warm it. add wheat flour and raost it till it changes it colour-mild red in colour. turn of the gas. Mix crushed/ grated jaggery. Due to heat retained in the pay, jagggery will melt. Mix well. Now apply ghee on the plate.Now spread sukhadi with spatule. Allow to cool. Cut into pieces. Serve hot. it is healthy and yummy too. Sukhadi

Methi Na Gota

Methi Na Gota this is pappa all time favourite dish. this dish  used to be part of our Sunday lunch menu. Specailly during rainy season, pappa used to like this a lot. Ingredients:  2 cups of gram flour 1/2 cup thick wheat flour(mota gehu ka atta) 2 cup washed and chopped feenugreek leaves 1 cup curd chopped corainder leaves, green chillies as per taste and liking black pepper-crushed 1 teaspponful of Garam masala Pinch of Eno turmeric powder chilli powder dhaniya powder salt as per taste riped banana(optional) Garlic can be added(optional) *If you are adding riped and mashed banana, dont add garlic.  oil to fry  Steps: mix gram flour, wheat flour. Add all other ingredients except Eno. Add luke warm water to make it thick consistency> Mix well in one direction only for 3-4 minutes.(mixing well will help in making gota soft). Add eno to it. Take oil in frying pan. Heat it till it comes to boil. Now add small laddleful of batter to make Gota. Fry to make it golden brown. Serve it hot
